GR3N AND INTECSA INDUSTRIAL WERE SELECTED TO RECEIVE EUR 35 MILLION IN EU FUNDS FOR TEXTILE AND PLASTICS RECYCLING PROJECT IN SPAIN

We are thrilled to announce that MODUS has been awarded a grant from the EU Innovation Fund of up to EUR 35 million, a project aimed at recycling approximately 50,000 tons of textiles and packaging which will allow avoiding over 2 Million tons CO2 during its lifetime.

MODUS uses our patented and owned innovative process based on the application of microwaves to alkaline hydrolysis. This process reinvents the life cycle of plastics and textiles, providing a solution for non-recyclable plastics by producing virgin-quality recycled PET/Polyester. This material can be seamlessly integrated into the production lines of packaging and textile manufacturers without compromising their existing facilities or product catalogs.

GR3N’s flexibility to recycle various materials, along with its unique capability to recycle certain textiles with lower Polyester content, positions the company as a key player in the chemical recycling space to achieve a circular economy.

MODUS is the result of more than three years of development leveraging on the long-term strategical alignment of GR3N and Intecsa that has allowed for a robust industrial approach and a profitable and resilient business model.
